Founded by operators and creatives who were tired of watching good businesses stall for want of a decent website and one honest conversation.
We back builders
before the world does

The story
behind the kgotla
In Setswana tradition, a kgotla is the meeting place at the centre of a village. It is where matters are raised, where anyone present may speak, and where decisions are made in front of everyone they affect.
We took the name because early business is the opposite of that. Information sits behind relationships. Quality work sits behind budgets. Founders with real ideas end up teaching themselves design at midnight because the alternative costs a salary.
So we built a room where the work is done with you. Members receive websites, decks, collateral and AI training at the standard an agency reserves for funded clients, plus mentors who are accountable for whether anything actually moved.
What we hold to
Access over gatekeeping
No paywalled network, no vague promise of exposure. If we let you in, you get the work and the introductions.
Results, not recruitment
This is not a pyramid scheme. Nobody earns by bringing people in. Mentors are measured on what members ship.
Build in the open
Progress, numbers and misses are shared in the cohort. A kgotla only works when people speak plainly.
Small rooms, real work
Cohorts stay deliberately small so every founder gets senior attention on their actual business.
